Carroll Athletics Highlights: James Schneider was a four-year letter winner in football. He played a pivotal role in the 1970 team’s run to an 8-1 record as both an offensive and a defensive lineman. He was known for his tough, quick and aggressive play. During his senior year, Jim received an award as the top student-athlete of his graduating class. He is also recognized in the Carroll Athletics Hall of Fame for his generous gift to the Building Champions Campaign, which made possible the renovation of the stadium with a new artificial playing surface, scoreboard and lighting. Schneider Stadium opened in fall 2004.
