Football—Played end on undefeated and united team of 1936; Named to three all-opponent teams
Basketball—Played on ’36 and ’37 teams which won state title; Team captain—senior year
Track—Competed in pole vault and high jump; Won first place in pole vault in every college meet except one
Coach—Head coach two years at Beaver Dam (Wis.)
High School—won conference title first year and earned 15-1 record before entering Air Force
