Paul Combs submitted his resignation as Head Men's Basketball Coach on November 14, 2022. 

Combs has experienced considerable success coaching in NCAA’s Div. II and III, at Nebraska’s Wayne State College, UW-Platteville and Lakeland College. The 2022-23 season marked Combs’ 24th season as a collegiate head coach. His Lakeland Muskies won 60 games, claimed back-to-back conference titles and compiled a 23-1 home record in four years of regular season conference games. In 2008-09, Platteville compiled a record of 23-6 and a No. 1 national ranking by D3hoops.com. The team won Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles in 2004-05 and 2008-09. Since arriving to Carroll in 2013, Combs has continued his success by having three winning seasons in his first four seasons as coach of the Pioneers. Combs’ 2015-16 Carroll University team experienced great success finishing with a record of 20-5 and a second-place finish in the Midwest Conference. Combs' Carroll record finished 104-109.
