McCafferey began the 2024 'Spring' season with a bang over the weekend, helping the Pioneers win their season opener 6-3 against UW-Superior, before falling by a 7-2 score to #25 UW-Whitewater. In Carroll's win, McCaffery was staring defeat in the face, before rallying down 5-1 in the second set of his number six singles match, fighting off two match points to win the match, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5).
