Zoe Esveldt played a key role in Carroll's women's lacrosse team winning their first two games to open the season last week. As part of the Pioneers' stifling defense, Esveldt caused seven turnovers in the two games combined, defeating Hamline 19-8, before trouncing Augsburg 19-3. One of those goals against Augsburg came on Esveldt's only shot of the week. She also recorded three ground balls, all of which came against Augsburg.
