Hermsen helped the Pioneers place third at the 13-team Warrior Invite on Thursday, hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran. He won the discus with a fourth-attempt distance of 54.55m (179-00), and followed that up with a victory in the hammer throw with a final-attempt distance of 54.98m (180-05). The three-time defending Division-III National Champion currently ranks first in D-III in the discus and seventh in the hammer.
