Carmella Nowak, a Waukesha native, had a dominant week for the Pioneers. In a thrilling game against UW-Whitewater, Nowak got the scoring going early as she buried a PK in the 12th minute to give the Pios a 1-0 lead. This would be crucial as the Pios narrowly won 3-2 against the visiting Warhawks. Then again, against Marian, the senior made another crucial PK in the 3rd minute, as the Pios forced a 1-1 tie.
