(Jacksonville, Ill.) – The Carroll University women's basketball team began 2016 with a 75-64 loss at Illinois College.
 
The Pioneers struggled from the floor following a long layoff. Carroll connected on just 33.3% of its shots from the field for the game.
 
The Lady Blues led 39-30 at the break and extended to a 16 point lead after the third period.
 
Malory Christensen led Carroll with 19 points while Brittany Groer added 18 points.
