ELMHURST, Ill. - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to Elmhurst College 4-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Langhorst Field on Saturday afternoon.
It was the second consecutive conference loss for Carroll, which dropped to 1-5 in the league standings and 3-12-1 overall.
Senior defender Andrew Hicks scored what became the winning goal on an unassisted shot at the 7:51 mark for Elmhurst, which improved to 3-4 in conference and 8-6-2 overall.
Sophomore forward Zach Clements converted a penalty kick in the 38th minute for the Bluejays, who outshot Carroll 27-8 - including a 15-4 shot-on-goal margin.
Elmhurst added two goals in the second half.
