DECATUR, Ill. - Junior midfielder Jake McChrystal (Stevens Point, Wis.) scored the winning goal off an assist from sophomore defender Tate Resch-Gauger (Appleton, Wis.) at the 75:35 mark as the Carroll University men's soccer team completed a dramatic comeback and defeated Millikin University 3-2 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin season finale at Lindsay Field on Saturday afternoon.
It was the second conference victory and equaled a season-high goal total for Carroll, which won by a one-goal margin for the second time en route to finishing 2-6 in the league standings and 3-13-2 overall.
Carroll collected the first goal as junior forward Shea Connell (Alfaz Del Pi, Spain) scored his team-leading fifth of the season on an assist from freshman midfielder Samuel Baxter (Germantown, Wis.) 20 minutes into the contest. 
Freshman midfielder Jason Sanderfoot (New London, Wis.) followed with a game-tying goal off an assist from junior midfielder Matt Quint (Waukesha, Wis.) in the 39th minute for the Pioneers, who were resilient despite being outshot 19-12 - including a 9-5 shot-on-goal margin.
Senior goalkeeper Connor Thompson (Kent, Wash.) registered seven saves to help preserve a victory.
Senior midfielder Takunda Jakachira and junior midfielder Bradyn Nokes each had a goal for Millikin, which ended the season 3-4-1 in conference and 8-7-1 overall.
