WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to Augustana College 1-0 in a cold, rain-plagued College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin showdown at Schneider Stadium on Saturday night.
It was the second straight conference loss by a one-goal margin for Carroll, which dropped to 0-2 in the league standings and 0-9-1 overall following the heartbreaking outcome.
Freshman midfielder Salah Aghlaf scored the winning unassisted goal at the 82:59 mark for Augustana, which improved to 1-1 in conference and 3-5 overall.
Carroll maintained an aggressive 9-7 shot margin, equaling the Vikings with five shot-on-goal opportunities in the defensive battle.

Peanut Taylor (Menomonee Falls, Wis.), junior midfielder
Ryan McNamara (Waterford, Wis.) and sophomore midfielder

Freshman goalkeeper
Peter Villafuerte (Milwaukee, Wis.) registered four saves in playing the entire way for Carroll.
