WAVERLY, Iowa - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to Wartburg College 5-0 in a nonconference game Friday night.
It was the fourth straight shutout loss of the season for Carroll, which dropped to 0-4 overall.
Wartburg, which improved to 2-2 overall, scored four unanswered goals in what proved to be a decisive first half.
Senior forward Ben Johnson contributed three goals and an assist for the Knights, who were outshot 15-11 but maintained a key 10-9 shot-on-goal advantage. Senior forward Ayo Adebayo and sophomore forward Jack Palen each added a goal.
Senior goalkeeper Paul Koebe Barsic had nine saves to preserve a shutout.
