Carroll fights to scoreless tie with Elmhurst

O' Block registers eight saves to help preserve shutout for Pioneers

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Carroll University women's soccer team battled to a gritty, tough scoreless tie with Elmhurst College in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Langhorst Field on Saturday night.
It was the second conference draw and third of the season for Carroll, which is 0-3-2 in league and 6-5-3 overall following the 110-minute double-overtime marathon (including 90 minutes of regulation and two, 10-minute extra periods).
Senior goalkeeper Christina O' Block (Libertyville, Ill.) registered eight saves in playing the entire 110 minutes for Carroll, which was outshot 17-6 - including an 8-2 shot-on-goal margin.
Junior forward Brookelyn Campbell (Oconomowoc, Wis.) and sophomore midfielder Tara Bahr (Waukesha, Wis.) each generated a shot-on-goal attempt for Carroll.
Senior goalkeeper Sophia Tuliglowski had two saves to pace Elmhurst, 2-2-1 in conference and 8-4-2 overall.
