Chicago, Ill. – Both the men and women Carroll University swimming and diving teams competed on short rest today at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Both teams finished with similar scores from their meet at St. Norbert the day before, with the women winning 127-70, and the men falling 169-20.
The women posted six first place finishes out of the 12 events.
Grace Fanshaw (1000 yd freestyle),
Jordan Andrews (50 yd freestyle, 200 yd backstroke), and
Kara Loy (100 yd freestyle) contributed the individual first place finishes. The women squad claimed first places in both relays as well. The women have won their last three meets.
The men saw another second place finish from
Michael Beckman in his second straight meet. He finished with a silver medal in the 200 yd backstroke.
Both teams travel to Carthage for a third time this season, as they host the Private College Championships on Januarys 25.
