WAUKESHA, Wis. - Thaddeus Scott, Brennen McClay and David Gonzales Jr. each won two individual events as the Carroll University men's swimming and diving team defeated Millikin University 129-61 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet at the Van Male Natatorium on Saturday.
Scott won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11 minutes, 20.66 seconds and 100 backstroke (1:00.83) for Carroll, which captured 10 events in its first home meet of the season. McClay followed with victories in the 100 freestyle (50.58) and 200 freestyle (1:56.93).
Gonzales won the 100 butterfly (59.42) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.24) for the Pioneers. Robin Wallmersperger claimed a victory in the 200 individual medley (2:24.78) and Edward McConnaha added a victory in the 500 freestyle (5:24.81).
