WATERLOO, Iowa – The Carroll University women's bowling team finished in sixth place after the three-day Peacock Classic hosted by Upper Iowa. The Pioneers went 5-8 on the weekend, and finished with a total pin fall of 11,065 in 66 games played.
Carroll started the day with a traditional match against Valparaiso, falling 794-925.
Alexis Ciesemier led the team with a score of 171. Carroll then entered the best of seven, baker bracket as the sixth seed. The Pioneers defeated North Central 4-1 highlighted by a 212 game. In the battle for fifth place, the Pioneers were upended by Augustana 2-4, and finished sixth overall.
Gabrielle Soll finished the tournament with the 16
th highest pinfall, while Ciesemier and
Emma Pfaffl finished inside the top-25 in score.
