APPLETON, Wis. - Edward McConnaha won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1 minute, 59.06 seconds, was third in the 500 freestyle and was a member of a winning 200 freestyle relay as the Carroll University men's swimming and diving team lost to Lawrence University 115-80 in a season-opening nonconference dual meet Saturday.
Brennen McClay followed with a victory in the 50 freestyle (22.95), was third in the 100 butterfly (1:01.71) and contributed to the first-place 200 freestyle relay for the Pioneers.
David Gonzales Jr. won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.60) , was third in the 50 freestyle (23.58) and was also a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay.
