FORT ATKINSON, Wis. – The Carroll University women's bowling team began their 2022-23 campaign on Saturday and Sunday at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invite in Fort Atkinson. The Pioneers finished 3-6 on the weekend, with two wins in traditional scoring and one in baker. The Pioneers finished seventh of eight teams.
On day one,
Alexis Ciesemier led the team with three rounds of over 190, including a 196 in the win against Dominican. Hannah Bartlet averaged 159 through five games with a high of 176, and
Sydney Raddeman tallied an average of 158.8 with a high round of 183 against Augustana.
Emilie Glosemeyer and
Kayleigh Kovacic rounded out the scoring with averages of 155.4 and 103.8, respectively. The Pioneers defeated North Central and Dominican.
On Sunday, The Pioneers finished 1-3, including 0-2 against CCIW opponents Carthage and Marian in baker scoring. The Pios took down Dominican for the second time on the weekend with a 766-733 win.
Carroll heads to Valparaiso, Indiana next weekend to gain more experience on a long, three-day trip.
