WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Carroll University men's soccer team is preparing for their first-ever trip to the 2022 CCIW Men's Soccer Championship Tournament, starting with the quarterfinals match this Saturday, October 28 at 5 PM. The Pioneers will return to Chicago to take on the No. 3 seeded North Park.
 
The Pioneers capped off the regular season with an 8-10 record and a program-best 3-5 record in the CCIW. The Pios finished the regular season with five matches against eventual regionally ranked programs, including three in the CCIW. Carroll's 41 goals this season sit just outside the top five for most in program history, and the mark was third most in the CCIW this year. Despite more goals for the Pioneers, the number of shots taken is down from a season ago, Head Coach Derek Marie credits that to the team's efficiency in their shot selection this year.
 
Carroll's rematch against North Park comes the same week the Pioneers lost 0-4 on the road to the Vikings. Tyler Hanson recorded a season-high 10 saves in the loss.
