NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Carroll University women's bowling team finished the day 3-2 and in fourth place at the 2022 CCIW Conference Baker Competition on Saturday afternoon.
The Pioneers started the day with a tough loss to Carthage, 891-911. Carroll bounced back with two wins in a row to Elmhurst (875-846) and Illinois Wesleyan (788-515). Carroll's match against the Aurora Spartans was another tough loss, falling 833-983. The Pios responded with a strong finish against the defending champions in Marian, 916-881.
Carroll will begin day two tomorrow and 9am, and will have three matches left. Carroll will face Augustana, Lakeland, and North Central.
