WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's bowling team placed sixth in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin Tournament at Sunset Bowl over the weekend.
It was the first of three conference tournaments this season for Carroll, which finished with a 3-4 record (highlighted by victories over North Central College, Lakeland College and Aurora University in the challenging, highly competitive two-day competition featuring four traditionally scored matches and three baker-format matches).
The Pioneers, who have earned seven victories this season, finished with 5,654 total pins (3,259 in traditional play and 2,395 in baker), averaging 161.5 per game in the process.
Ava Butt finished eighth overall with a four-game total of 748 (including a second-game individual high 216), averaging a team-leading 187 for Carroll.
Hannah Bartlett followed in 17th with a 673 (including a third-game high 203), averaging 168.25 for the Pioneers.
Emilie Glosemeyer took 23rd with 643 and
Kelsey Aviles was 25th with 586 to round out the list of top finishes.
