WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's tennis team lost to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point 6-3 in a nonconference dual meet at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon.
It was the third consecutive dual loss for Carroll, which dropped to 8-10 overall with the Senior Day performance.
Makayla Counsell won in straight sets at No. 5 singles for the Pioneers, defeating UW-Stevens Point's Maya Kunze 6-4, 6-4.
Counsell, a freshman from Waukesha, Wis., improved her individual record to 4-4 overall.
The senior No. 1 doubles team of
Ashley LaBelle and
Maya Gaedtke combined for a victory (8-5), improved to 6-5 overall.
Counsell combined with
Aalaiya Jacklin for a victory at No. 3 doubles (8-2).
