WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll's men's and women's swim teams hosted Lake Forest College in a single dual, with both teams falling to the Foresters. Carroll's women fell by a score of 131-69, while Carroll's men's team fell 152-38.
The women kicked the meet off with 200 Medley Relay. The team of Morgan Toupal, Carigan Tabor, Erin Fixen, and Josie Peterson posted a second place finish with a time of 1:58.75. Peterson and Toupal both claimed individual first-place finishes as well, with Peterson taking the 200 IM in 2:20.25, while Toupal won the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:22.41, a season best. Tabor also posted a season-best in the 1650 Freestyle, touching the wall in 20:08.17. Three other swimmers recorded personal bests in individual events, including Samantha Hernandez in 50 Y Freestyle, Madison Kramer in the 100 Freestyle, and Anna Clare Miller in the 500 Y Freestyle.
The men's competition was highlighted by Edward Mconnaha, who took first in the 100 Free, with a personal-best swim of 47.70. McConnaha also served as the anchor leg for the 400 Free relay, who took second place with Gavin Buechel, Dylan Klang, Jacob Rossi, and McConnaha combining for a cumulating a time of 3.21.01, just one-tenth of a second slower than the first-place team. Other swimmers posting personal bests were Andrew Arreguin in the 200 Freestyle, Thomas Rynne in the 200 Breaststroke, Matthew Hansen in the 1650 Freestyle, and Toto Nguyen in the 50 Y Free.
Carroll gets a couple of weeks off before they travel to Kenosha for the Carthage Classic, a three-day weekend event on December 5-7.
