WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Pioneers sweep the visiting Elmhurst Blue Jays 7-0, only dropping 3 games along the way.
Carroll would win the doubles point quickly with a 6-0 win by
Katherine Trifilio and
Natasa Pupovac at one doubles and a 6-1 victory by
Megan Trifilio and
Nawal Souki at two doubles. There was no 3 match as Elmhurst only had 5 active players for the contest.
In singles, Pios would earn three 6-0, 6-0 scores;
Megan Trifilio at three,
Mia Franke at four, and
Makayla Counsell at five.
Natasa Pupovac and Katherne Trifilio would both win 6-0, 6-1 at one and two, respectively. Again, there was no 6 game as Elmhurst only traveled with 5 active players.
Pios won and improved to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Carroll Women's Tennis will be back in action for a weekend trip to Illinois, where they'll take on Illinois Wesleyan on Friday and Millikin on Saturday.
