Pioneers Battle to Scoreless Draw with Edgewood on Senior Night

WAUKESHA Wis. - The Carroll University women's soccer team celebrated Senior Night with a strong performance in front of a supportive home crowd at Schneider Stadium, battling Edgewood College to a 0–0 draw. The Pioneers (0-1-2) showed energy and cohesion throughout the match, creating chances and maintaining defensive discipline.

Carroll outshot Edgewood 11–7 and held a 5–3 advantage in corner kicks. Forward Harlie Seuser led the attack with three shots on goal in the first half, forcing multiple saves and keeping the pressure on early. Ellie Patrickus and Addie Decker each added shots, while midfielders Gabby Courtois and Carmella Nowak helped control possession and transition play.

The second half saw continued offensive efforts, with Naomy Gonzalez and Makenna Gibbons contributing off the bench. Claudia Cramer and Lorelei Maxwell added fresh legs in midfield, while the back line remained steady.

Goalkeeper Nevaeh Darby earned a shutout, making two saves and organizing a composed defensive unit. Victoria Crivello, Olivia Fandel, and Alexa Karagiannis anchored the back line, limiting Edgewood's chances and keeping the visitors off the scoreboard.

The match also marked a special moment for Carroll's seniors, who were honored after the game for their leadership and contributions to the program. Their presence was felt throughout the match as the team played composed throughout.

Carroll returns to action on Monday, September 8th, when they are back home at Schneider Stadium as they take on UW-Whitewater at 7pm.
