VERONA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's soccer team earned its fourth draw of the season on Friday night, battling Edgewood to a 0-0 result at Edgewood University Field at Reddan Park. The Pioneers controlled much of the match, holding a 16-3 advantage in shots and a 7-0 edge in corner kicks, but were unable to find the breakthrough goal.
Carroll dictated the attack from the opening whistle, generating five shots in the first half while allowing just three from the Eagles. Defender Victoria Crivello created two early scoring chances that forced saves from Edgewood goalkeeper Madeline Brown, while Gabby Courtois, Madison Milhaupt, and Addie Decker each put attempts on frame before halftime.
The Pioneers continued to press after the break, recording 11 second-half shots and keeping Edgewood without a single shot attempt over the final 45 minutes. Carmella Nowak led Carroll with five shots, including two on goal, while Crivello added three shots and Courtois, Madelyn Baker, Milhaupt, and Decker all tested the Eagles' defense.
Despite the offensive pressure, Brown finished with eight saves to preserve the shutout for Edgewood. Carroll put eight of its 16 shots on target and controlled 57 percent of possession throughout the contest.
In goal, Ava Lewandowski started the match and made one save during the opening half before Payton Brose played the final 45 minutes to combine for Carroll's third shutout of the season. The Eagles managed just one shot on target all evening.
With the draw, Carroll moves to 0-1-4 on the season. The Pioneers return home on Sunday, Sept. 13, for Senior Day when they host Marian University at Schneider Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. as Carroll looks to earn its first victory of the 2026 campaign.
