WAUKESHA, Wis. – Carroll Athletics is proud to recognize senior running back Marcus Johnson and junior golfer Scarlett Lindgren as this week's Pioneers of the Week after each turned in standout performances that helped lead their respective programs to successful weekends of competition.

Marcus Johnson powered Carroll to a dominant 33-0 road victory over Elmhurst in the Pioneers' CCIW opener with one of the best rushing performances of his career. The senior from Hazel Crest, Illinois rushed for a career-high 241 yards, consistently breaking through the Bluejay defense and controlling the tempo of the game from the opening drive through the final whistle.
Johnson's explosive running attack helped Carroll compile a commanding offensive performance while keeping Elmhurst on its heels throughout the afternoon. His ability to generate chunk plays and move the chains allowed the Pioneers to control possession and dictate the flow of the contest en route to the shutout victory. The career-best outing further cemented Johnson's role as one of the conference's premier offensive playmakers and was a major factor in Carroll's successful start to league play.
Junior golfer Scarlett Lindgren continued her strong fall campaign with an impressive showing at the Benedictine Invite. Competing against a field representing 17 teams, Lindgren fired a round of 75 to finish fifth overall and lead the Pioneers.
The Grayslake, Illinois native delivered a steady performance from start to finish, positioning herself near the top of the leaderboard against a talented field. Her top-five finish highlighted both her consistency and ability to perform under pressure while helping Carroll remain competitive against a strong collection of regional opponents.
Lindgren's performance marks another significant result in an already productive season and showcases the leadership she brings to the Pioneer lineup as one of the program's top returning golfers.
