Mark Krzykowski was named Associate Athletic Director at Carroll University on Nov. 17, 2019. Krzykowski was named head football coach at Carroll University, his alma mater, on March 1, 2011.  Krzykowski was a three-year standout for the Pioneers football team after transferring from the University of Wisconsin. The 29th head coach in the 126-year history of the Pioneer football program, Krzykowski earned a Master’s degree in Sport Coaching and Sport Management in 1999 and added Sport Psychology in 2018.

Krzykowski enjoyed a very successful high school coaching career before embarking on a five-year stint on the staff at Elmhurst College.

In 2006, Krzykowski returned to his alma mater as the defensive coordinator, then added the title of assistant head coach prior to the 2008 season.

“Carroll University is a very special place. We have a strong and successful history in both academics and athletics," Coach Krzykowski said. "Our football program looks forward to making past, current and future team members proud of the Pioneer tradition.”

In eight seasons at the helm, Krzykowski’s Pioneers posted an overall record of 40-40, which ranks fourth in program history for career coaching victories.

In Krzykowski’s eight years as the Head Coach, he coached 61 All Conference players, four Conference Players of the Year, a two-time Wisconsin Private School Player of the Year (2014 and 2015), and was named Wisconsin Private School Coach of the Year in 2014. That same season, the Pioneers gained national recognition, which saw them climb to number 24 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25 Coaches Poll. Carroll has won eight games in a season five times in its 126-year history, with two of those eight-win seasons coming during Krzykowski’s tenure.
