Taylor Lucas is in his second season as an assistant coach with the Pioneers’ football program working, again, with the tight ends and fullbacks.
Additionally, Lucas serves as the Academic Coordinator for the Pioneers, overseeing study tables as well as academic meetings. Under Lucas’ oversight, the team GPA of the Pioneers hit a record 3.005 in the Spring 2017 semester.

Prior to joining the Pioneers, Lucas attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where he was a four-year started on the offensive line, playing for Pioneer Offensive Coordinator Tony Aker. Lucas was a part of an offense that finished top three in scoring and total offense in 2014. In 2015, the offense averaged 37.1 points per game, the program’s highest total since 2003, averaging 440 yards of offense per game.

Lucas excelled as student-athlete. He was named an Academic All-American in both 2014 and 2015, while also receiving Academic All-District awards in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

As a native of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Lucas graduated from Brookfield East High School. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Business Management. Lucas currently resides in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
