Woodrow "Woody" Corey joined the Carroll football coaching staff in July of 2021. The 2021 season will mark his first season with the Pioneers.
Corey recently graduated from North Park University in 2021 with a degree in secondary education and history. Corey was a member of the Viking football team for five seasons, playing wide receiver and running back. Corey appeared in 19 games, including a career-high eight in 2017. Corey’s breakout season at wide receiver came in 2018, catching 24 passes for 203 yards with two touchdowns. Corey was one of only four North Park Receivers to record over 200 yards receiving that season. Corey was named team captain his final three years in the program.
Corey has coaching experience at Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Ill. Corey taught ages ranging from 8-17 years old, and he worked with wide receivers, running backs, and defensive backs.
Corey is an MBA candidate at Carroll University.
