Chris Tadley is the eighth Head Coach of Carroll's Women's Soccer program, as he was hired in January 2024 to lead the Pioneers.
In his first season as head coach, Tadley reached unprecedented success for the program, leading the team to a perfect regular season (8-0-0), en route to the program's first-ever CCIW regular season championship. As the top seed in the 2024 CCIW Tournament, the Pioneers hosted the semifinal and championship rounds, falling in overtime of the CCIW Championship game. That season, Tadley coached six players to All-Conference honors, including the 2024 Goal Keeper of the Year, Caitlin Fitzsimons. Four of those players also earned All-Region recognition, while six Pioneers were also named to the CSC Academic All-District team. Under Tadley's watch, Carroll had a player earn the prestigious CCIW Elite 26 award that season.
Tadley came to Carroll from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he spent the past two years as a volunteer assistant coach in charge of coaching the goal keepers and preparing scouting reports, recruiting, game model development and implementation, and video analysis and film breakdown. While at UW-Madison, Tadley coached two All-Region and All-Big 10 selections, while also coaching a pair of Big 10 All-Freshman honorees.
Prior to his time at UW-Madison, Tadley served as an assistant coach at both the University of Memphis and Lehigh University. His first collegiate coaching position came at Albright College in Reading, Penn., where, in just two years, Tadley moved from assistant to Head Men's Soccer Coach, a role he held from 2015-19. A USSF National C-License holder, Tadley also has 12 years of club soccer coaching experience..
A 2012 graduate of Albright, Tadley earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, before going on to receive his Master of Science in Special Education from Albright in 2017. As an undergrad, Tadley was a three-time MAC Commonwealth Honor Roll recipient, while also being named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week three times. A four-year letterwinner and three-year starter, Tadley served as the men's soccer team's co-captain his senior season, which also saw him earn the Derek Kehoe Memorial Award, given to the senior athlete who personifies hard work, toughness, and good citizenship.
