Sara Mahoney joins the Carroll Women's Soccer staff for the 2019-2020 season. Mahoney, a 2016 graduate of Carroll, returns to the women's soccer program after serving as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois for the past 2 seasons. She brings a breadth of knowledge to CU, as she was involved in all aspects of coaching and recruiting in her full-time role at Benedictine.
In addition to the assets she brings as a coach, Mahoney had a phenomenal playing career here at Carroll. Mahoney, who transferred to Carroll from USF, played 2 seasons for the Pioneers. In her time at Carroll, she was a 2-time First Team All-Conference selection, MWC Player of the Year, NSCAA (Now USC) First Team All-Region, and eventually achieved the highest accolade awarded when she was named All-American. She is currently the only All-American in Carroll Women’s Soccer program history.
Mahoney graduated from Carroll in 2016 with a degree in Exercise Science. In 2019, she graduated from Benedictine University with her master’s degree in Management and Organizational Development.
