Charlie Grey enters his second season as Carroll University's Director of Athletic Communications in 2026-27 after joining the Pioneers in 2025.
As Director of Athletic Communications, Grey oversees communications, media relations, digital content, social media strategy, statistics, publications, livestreaming, website management, and game day operations for all 23 of Carroll's varsity athletic programs. He serves as the primary communications contact for the entire athletics department while leading the department's storytelling, branding, and fan engagement efforts.
Prior to arriving at Carroll, Grey worked in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area in parks and recreation while remaining actively involved in collegiate athletics and higher education. Before entering the recreation field, he worked in the University of Minnesota's Student-Athlete Academic Center while pursuing his graduate studies.
Grey earned his Master of Education in Sport Management from the University of Minnesota in 2024. During his time in Minneapolis, he gained experience working directly with student-athletes and supporting programs focused on student success, leadership development, and the overall student-athlete experience.
A native of Winneconne, Wis., Grey earned his bachelor's degree in Finance with a certificate in Sports Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021. His passion for collegiate athletics communications and storytelling led him to pursue a career in intercollegiate athletics following graduation.
Grey currently resides in Milwaukee, Wis.
