Lindsay Schultz is in her 10th season as Carroll University's Head Women's Basketball Coach. Her career coaching record at Carroll stands at 111-108 (.507) entering the 2025-26 season, which makes her the second-winningest coach in program history. She also serves as Carroll's Senior Woman Administrator and as the Pioneers' Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics, with the 2025-26 school year marking her second in that role.

Schultz has rebuilt Carroll's women's basketball program from the ground up. After winning just one game in her first season with the team, the Pioneers have now put together a string of five consecutive winning seasons, which is the longest such streak since a string of 10-consecutive winning seasons from 2005-15. During their most recent winning stretch, the Pios have qualified for the CCIW Tournament in all five seasons. During the last four years combined, Schultz has led the program to an overall record of 77-30 (.720).

During the 2024-25 season, Carroll began the year ranked 21st in the D3hoops.com Preseason Top 25, marking the first time in program history that the Pios have received a preseason ranking. They moved as high as 13th in the rankings during the season, which is tied for the highest Top 25 ranking in program history. Another highlight of that season came at the end of November, which saw Carroll defeat 12th-ranked Hope College on the road. The season culminated with the Pioneers' second consecutive trip to the CCIW Tournament Championship game, where they would lose to third-ranked Illinois Wesleyan, 95-86.

The 2023-24 season was a banner year for the Schultz-led Pioneers, finishing the season with a 23-5 record, which broke the program record for most wins in a single season. They also finished the season with a conference record of 14-2 and a share of the CCIW regular season championship for the first time in program history. Earning their highest-ever ranking in the D3hoops.com Top 25 at number 13, the Pioneers would go on to win the CCIW Tournament as the number two seed at Illinois Wesleyan. That helped the Pios earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Division-III Tournament, and secured hosting rights for the NCAA First Round for the first time since the 1980s. They were ranked in the Top 25 for seven consecutive weeks, which is the longest such streak in program history. That team also broke single season school records for points (2,236), scoring average (79.9 ppg), scoring margin (+17.2), field goal percentage (.479), assists (519), assists per game (18.5 apg), defensive rebounds (789), and defensive rebounds per game (28.2). The team featured three All-Conference players (Olivia Rangel, Natalie Gricius, Emilie Wizner), with Rangel and Gricius also earning All-Region honors and Rangel also being named to the All-American and Academic All-America teams.

In the 2021-22 season, Schultz led the program to their best record since 2007-08, with 19 wins. The Pioneers reached the CCIW Semifinal for the second consecutive year after winning a first round game on their home court. Carroll paced the CCIW in five major categories, including a resounding scoring margin of +17.0. For her efforts, Schultz earned WBCA Division-III Women's Private Coach of the Year. Two Pioneers were named CCIW All-Conference, including Olivia Rangel earning the 2022 CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year Award.

Schultz has enjoyed a standout collegiate assistant coaching career since her time as a student-athlete at Stetson University (one year) and eventually at Cardinal Stritch University (three years).

After graduating from Cardinal Stritch in 2004, Schultz spent a season on the Wolves coaching staff before becoming the Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2006-07). A year later she moved back to the bench and was the Panthers assistant coach for four seasons (2007-10).

For the 2011-2012 season Schultz was an assistant coach at UW-Parkside then joined the staff at Bradley University from 2012 through the 2015-2016 season.
