Mason Petrin

Mason Petrin

Mason Petrin was named the second Head Coach in the history of Carroll's women's bowling program in September of 2024. Prior to that, he spent three seasons with the Pioneers in an assistant role.

Petrin's first season as Head Coach was a banner year for the Pioneers, as he was named CCIW Coach of the Year after earning the number two seed in the 2025 CCIW Tournament, which is the highest finish in program history. He led the Pios to the second and final day of that Tournament for the first time in program history. Petrin has coached two All-Conference bowlers, including the 2025 CCIW Bowler of the Year (Ava Butt), and one CSC Academic All-District honoree.

Petrin has four years of college coaching experience. He was an assistant at Robert Morris and Head Coach at UW-Oshkosh from 2015-16, before coaching Robert Morris' men to the runners-up at the Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITA). He then led the school's women's team to the ITC Championship in 2019.

A native of West Bend, Wis., Petrin attended Robert Morris University in Chicago for four years. He currently resides in Wauwatosa, Wis. with his wife Emily, their one-year-old son, Otto, and two dogs, Debo and Toby.
