Mike Deal joined the staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Carroll University in 2020. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at UW-Oshkosh in 2015.
After graduating, Deal stayed on with UW-O for a two-year internship working with their Men’s Soccer, Track & Field, and Softball programs. During his time with Oshkosh, he also worked as needed for event medical coverage for Affinity-Part of Ascension in Appleton, Wis. Deal later moved to La Crosse, Wis. and joined Gunderson Health System’s Sports Medicine team from 2017-2019 as an outreach Athletic Trainer at Holmen High School/Blair-Taylor High School.
One year prior to joining Carroll University, Deal became an Athletic Trainer in ProHealth Care’s Sport’s Medicine Department and assisted Kettle Moraine High School in 2019.
Deal is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification and is licensed by the state of Wisconsin. He is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Deal resides in Milwaukee with his wife Kristen and their daughter Emersyn.
