Carroll University Athletics

Dr. Samuel Steiner serves as the Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Carroll University Athletics. A fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine specialist, Steiner completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia after finishing his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

As an orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience treating athletic injuries, Steiner specializes in sports medicine and musculoskeletal care. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and book chapters covering topics such as knee and shoulder injuries, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, and joint replacement. His professional achievements include receiving the Walter P. Blount Award in Orthopedic Surgery from the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Consultant of the Year Award from the University of Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Department.
