Peterson played a big role in Carroll finishing second out of six teams at the annual Wisconsin Private College Championships over the weekend. Peterson won three events at the meet, finishing first in the 50 freestyle (25.08), 100 freestyle (54.41), and 200 freestyle (1:59.14). Peterson also swam a leg on a pair of second-place relays, doing so in the 200 freestyle (1:44.05) and 400 freestyle (3:52.07).
