Vanessa Uitenbroek helped Carroll's women's track & field team to a sixth-place finish out of nine teams at Saturday's Dick Hendricks Invitational, hosted by Ripon College. Uitenbroek won the shot put at that meet with a throw of 13.98m (45-10.5). That marks a season-best throw for Uitenbroek, who now ranks fifth in Division-III in that event. She also won the weight throw at the weekend's meet with a distance of 16.08m (52-09.25).
