Raatz had an outstanding meet at the CCIW Championships over the weekend, which was highlighted by his school-record time in the 400 meters. Raatz broke the 25-year-old school record in the preliminaries, before topping that time in the finals with a time of 48.87, which earned him All-Conference honors in the event with a third-place finish. Raatz also ran the anchor leg on Carroll's fourth-place 4x100 Relay (along with Sawyer Caves, Nicholas Kerkhoff, and Patrick Signore), which earned All-Conference honors in the event. That relay entered the meet ranked 8th out of 9 teams, before running a season-best time by more than 10 seconds.
