Senior defensive lineman Luke Brosig anchored Carroll’s defense in a dominant 34-14 road win over Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. Brosig was a disruptive force at the line of scrimmage, recording 2.5 sacks for 22 yards and 2.5 tackles for loss, helping the Pioneers hold IWU to just 11 rushing yards on 21 attempts. His pressure helped Carroll rack up five total sacks and consistently collapse the pocket, forcing hurried throws and stalled drives. Brosig’s third-quarter sack helped end a Titan possession, and he added another in the fourth to help seal the win. His performance was a key factor in Carroll’s defensive control throughout the game.
