Carroll University Athletics

Cooper Burns is entering his seventh year as an Assistant Coach for the Carroll University baseball team in the 2023-24 school year.

Burns currently serves as the Pioneers' Hitting Coach, First Base Coach, and Technology Coordinator. 

 A 2021 graduate of Carroll University, Burns earned his bachelor's degree in sports administration, while also holding a double minor in coaching and marketing. 

Burns was originally recruited by Coach Rear, but his playing career was cut short due to injuries. He joined the coaching staff in 2017, serving as a student assistant during that time, which saw him assist in various areas around the program. 

Burns currently resides in West Allis, Wis. with his wife, Melissa. He also has a daughter, Aubrey Elizabeth (8).
