Box Score (Waukesha, Wis.) - Van Male Fieldhouse was primed for an upset Tuesday night but in the end St. Norbert College, the sixth ranked team in the nation according to d3hoops.com, proved too much for the Carroll University men's basketball team. The once-beaten Green Knights improved to 15-0 in the Midwest Conference (19-1 overall) with a 68-62 victory over the Pioneers.

At 10:23 of the first half, an upset was just what the Pioneer fans were thinking. Carroll led 19-11 and had all the momentum on its side. Just over six minutes later St. Norbert had turned the tide with a 12-1 to lead 23-20.

The Green Knights went into the break leading 34-26 then extended to a 10-point lead with just under 13 minutes remaining in the game. The Pioneers, riding a four-game winning streak, mounted a ferocious comeback bid that would see them pull to within one point (63-62) with 3:08 to play on a layup from Andrew Nottling.

A St. Norbert timeout immediately followed Nottling's layup to give the Green Knights time to regain their poise. Regain their poise they did, as they closed out the final two-plus minutes scoring the game's final five points.

Carroll, the nation's leader in field goal percentage entering the game, connected on 51.2% of its from the field against a very good St. Norbert defense. The most glaring statistic on the night was SNC's domination on the boards, outrebounding Carroll 38-21.

Alec Molter led the Pioneers with 14 points and seven rebounds while Brandon Ehrke and Kyle Keranen added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
