(De Pere, Wis.) – The Carroll University men's basketball team fell at St. Norbert College, 82-58, in a battle of the top two teams in the Midwest Conference.
The Pioneers entered the game at 8-0 in league play while the Green Knights, ranked No. 22 by D3hoops.com, were 9-0.
St. Norbert connected on 56.9% of its shots from the field for the game and outrebounded Carroll 33-22. The Green Knight's also forced the Pioneers into an uncharacteristic 18 turnovers.
SNC led 42-24 at the break but CU made a 9-0 run early in the second half to cut the deficit to 46-35. St. Norbert responded with a 17-4 to lead 63-39 with 9:33 to play.
Kyle Keranen was the only Pioneer to reach double figures in scoring, netting 11 points. Ben Widdes and Joel Heesch added eight points each.
Carroll is now 12-2 on the season.
