DECATUR, Ill. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to first-place Millikin University 25-22, 25-15, 25-16 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin season-ending dual meet at Griswold Center on Tuesday evening.
It was the sixth consecutive dual-meet loss for the Pioneers, who finished the season 1-7 in conference and 7-23 overall.
Junior outside hitter Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) had a meet-high 13 kills and one block to lead Carroll. Sophomore middle blocker Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) followed with five kills, freshman outside hitter Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) contributed four kills and freshman middle blocker Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) had three blocks for the Pioneers. Sophomore outside hitter Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) collected 14 digs, freshman setter Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) had 13 assists and freshman setter Jennilyn Joy Cave (Bolingbrook, Ill.) added 11 assists.
Junior rightside hitter Alora Goodey had nine kills with junior outside hitter Erin Syversen contributing eight kills and three service aces for Millikin, which finished the regular season with a 7-1 conference record to capture its second straight CCIW dual-meet championship and improve to 24-11 overall. Junior setter Emily Mihalkanin added 30 assists and three aces for the Big Blue.
