The men and women both fell to Carthage on Saturday, November 19th. The men lost 198-63, while the women lost 160-101.

The Pioneers only event win came from freshman Hannah Garcia, who won the 500 meter freestyle, finishing with a time of 5:44.03. Garcia also finished 2nd in the 1000 meter freestyle with a time of 11:20.56. Kaitlin Squier, a sophomore, was the other top swimmer for the women, finishing 2nd in 3 separate events (400 meter medley relay, 200 meter breaststroke, 100 meter breaststroke).

The men were led by senior Brody Beyer. Beyer finished 2nd in the 200 meter backstroke with a time of 2:04.85; while also finishing 2nd in the 100 meter backstroke with a time of 56:37.

Both teams will compete next in the Pioneer Classic at Grinnell College, on December 2nd at 6 pm.
