(Waukesha, Wis.) – The Carroll University men's lacrosse team had a strong showing against Concordia University-Chicago before falling to the Cougars, 10-6.
The Pioneers scored the games' opening goal on a strike from Drake Nikolai but the visitors responded with four unanswered goals to take a lead they would not relinquish.
Carroll hung tough throughout though and were a handful for Concordia. The Pioneers pulled to within 9-6 with just over three minutes to play but could get no closer.
Paul Kerchenberg led CU with a hat-trick (3 goals) while Joseph Betley and Edward Weizenicker also added goals for the Pioneers.
