(Bloomington, Ill.) - The Carroll University women's lacrosse team closed out the 2016 season with a 20-1 loss at Illinois Wesleyan University.

The hosts jumped out to a 5-0 lead before Donna January made it 5-1 at 13:09 of the first half. IWU closed out the half on a 6-0 run to lead 11-1 at halftime.

The second half was all Illinois Wesleyan, as they outscored CU 9-0.

Carroll goalkeeper Shelby Will recorded 15 saves on the day.
