WAUKESHA, Wis. - Freshman midfielder Carson Reed (Appleton, Wis.) scored on an assist from senior forward Bryan Nagy (Hales Corners, Wis.) in the 52nd minute but it wasn't enough as the Carroll University men's soccer team lost to St. Norbert College 4-1 in a spirited, physical nonconference game at Schneider Stadium on Saturday.
It was the second home-field loss of the season for the Pioneers, who dropped to 3-4 overall.
The Knights outshot Carroll 16-3 in the intense matchup that included three yellow cards.
Ben Prange scored three goals in the first half to propel St. Norbert, which won the battle of former fierce Midwest Conference rivals and improved to 5-1 overall.
