NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior outside hitter
Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) equaled her season-high by contributing 16 kills but the Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to North Central College 25-22, 21-25, 21-25, 25-16, 15-5 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual Friday night.
It was the seventh five-set loss of the season for Carroll, which dropped to 0-6 in the conference standings and 10-17 overall.
As the match remained tied 4-4 in the pressure-packed fifth set, North Central seized the momentum and responded with a decisive 11-1 run.
Sophomore setter Maya Bryant's match-ending kill put an exclamation point on the come-from-behind victory.
Carroll trimmed the deficit to 7-5 in the final set on a kill by Voltolina but couldn't get any closer.

Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) followed with 11 kills, 16 digs and two service aces for the Pioneers, who generated 52 kills, 83 digs and five aces. Sophomore outside hitter
Kylie Mueller (Fox Lake, Ill.) had nine kills and three blocks.
Carroll had a .286 hitting percentage powered by 17 kills in a confidence-building second-set victory and registered a .242 on 12 kills in capturing the third set.

Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) had 21 digs in making a successful return to the lineup. Sophomore setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added a meet-high 43 assists, 15 digs and two aces.
Junior outside hitter Claire Vrabec had a team-best 16 kills for North Central, which improved to 3-3 in conference and 12-5 overall.
